Whether it be within a local community or globally, the multiple women's organisations reflect the seriousness of the message for women's equal rights. My search for women's organisations is not comprehensive nor exclusive. The few sites chosen do not relate directly to the changing role of women today but it more than  illustrates it.

The very fact that women's voice is present in these organisations is proof enough of some progress. Women's role has changed. Women's organisations are organised, informed and uncompromising in some cases.

There are many sites devoted to the cause of women. Locally Warwickshire sites on women associations is disappointing. There is very little material available on women apart from a few listings. It is so slow to download that one is tempted to give up half way through.

The website 'The Women's National Commission' in United Kingdom stands uniquely to give advice on women to the government. It gives exposure to women's points of view. It has good links to UK other organisations, and lists many associations by alphabetical order. Like the Platform for Young Women Gingerbread .  Cynthia Blystone & Lisa Castagnozzi in the Women Leaders Online 'Women organising For Change News Sources' have compiled an extensive lists of  women organisations.

I visited many sites on women's associations during this enquiry. One of them is the Fawcett library which will soon become the Women's library. It has many books, periodicals and an archive based on women's issues. The material is unavailable to the web but the site is excellent for reference and books on women.

For global information the site WomenWatch is my favourite. It does what it intends to do. It monitors results of the Beijing international women's conference of 1995. It is the more prominent and up to date global information site I have visited. Factual, it reports the activities which deals with  women issues, using the Internet to reach millions of women and associations worlwide.
